The tenth regret added to The Museum Of Regret is by Paul Turri from St Helens.
Paul Turri is a photographer by hobby and not looking to make millions from his work. He will soon be adding a gallery of his landscapes and still life studies to his website that can be purchased from a soon to be developed online store.
My regret is... That I never had the strength to stand up an pursue my dreams in photography and/or music.
When I was 18 I performed in a college rock band and we were good, but I bowed to parental pressure to go to university to study "proper" subjects that would get me a "career".
All I wanted to do was play music and take photographs and I was remarkably good at both but the respect for my parents and fear of failure made me conform and I gave up on my dreams.
Now, at near 50 years old I am back taking photographs and bought new guitars, and spend quite a lot of time wondering what could have been. Whether I succeeded or not at least I would have tried because the biggest regret you can have is not trying.
